AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Plumbing Systems Engineer - Airport to join our team. This position is based on-site, out of Mississauga. We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world. Major Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provides expert advice, guidance, and subject matter expertise throughout the planning, design, and implementation of the program, ensuring compliance with all relevant plumbing and utility system codes and standards.</li><li>Ensures plumbing and utility systems design and construction meet technical requirements through design reviews, submittal assessments, and testing.</li><li>Conducts Facility Alteration Permit (FAP) compliance reviews for all proposed renovations, alterations, maintenance work, and new construction projects.</li><li>Delivers non-resident engineering expertise through field inspections at various stages of construction.</li><li>Supports the development of governance frameworks and process documentation related to plumbing and utility systems engineering practices.</li><li>Evaluates alternative technical proposals submitted by contractors, assessing feasibility and alignment with program requirements.</li><li>Manages the technical aspects of the program, setting targets and goals for plumbing and utility systems engineering.</li><li>Facilitates coordination between engineering and architectural disciplines to ensure seamless integration across programs, facilities, and assets.</li><li>Reviews contractor and designer deliverables to confirm adherence to relevant requirements, codes, and standards.</li><li>Monitors the designer’s input throughout construction, overseeing RFIs, shop drawings, material approvals, mock-ups, and punch lists.</li><li>Provides management-level progress reports and briefings on plumbing and utility systems design, highlighting key developments, challenges, and opportunities.</li></ul>
