Job description <div style="text-align:justify;">We are currently seeking two Climate Diplomacy Advisors – LDC support to be based in Dili, Timor-Leste to assist the ongoing work on LDC Group negotiation support, with a particular focus on providing support to the LDC Chair. This role will be under the supervision of the Head of the LDC Support Team and as part of the Climate Diplomacy Team.</div><div style="text-align:justify;">The Climate Diplomacy Advisors – LDC support will assist the LDC Chair on a day-to-day basis with      ongoing work related to LDC Group negotiation support. The work will require frequent communication with the LDC Chair's office team, drafting memos, preparing briefings, as well as coordinating logistical coordination with relevant stakeholders.</div> The key responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following activities listed below.<ul><li style="text-align:justify;">Provide administrative and operational support to the LDC Group Chair, including comprehensive management of the Chair’s calendar and email accounts     </li><li style="text-align:justify;">Intensive contact and communication with the LDC Chair to support the regular work of the LDC Group at climate negotiations and inter-sessional activities. </li><li style="text-align:justify;">Close coordination with the LDC Secretariat and its staff to ensure alignment and effective communication between project partners, LDC Chair’s Office, and the LDC Secretariat.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Facilitate the involvement of the LDC Chair and other representatives of the LDC Group in LDC meetings, regional climate gatherings, and other intersessional meetings, as well as UNFCCC meetings as needed.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Support LDCs in the climate negotiations by coordinating      briefing materials and      policy support (oral briefs, talking points, technical inputs) and ensuring timely circulation of documents during and between sessions      </li><li style="text-align:justify;">Assist in enhancing the LDC Group's media engagement capacity and expanding its media outreach including through developing press releases, consolidating key messages, and coordinating outreach activities to enhance visibility and media preparedness.</li></ul> Your profile Required expertise and qualifications<ul><li style="text-align:justify;">A graduate degree in a relevant field, ideally environment or climate-related studies, such as environmental science, environmental management, natural resource management, climate science, social science;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Strong interest, expertise, and experience in climate change issues and international climate negotiations under the UNFCCC process and/or climate and sustainable development issues relevant to LDCs and their relationship to international climate policy; </li><li style="text-align:justify;">Experience with interdisciplinary work and profound interest in understanding and addressing regional and national challenges to climate change in LDCs;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Ability and expertise to summarise and translate scientific or policy texts into briefing papers for government officials and Ministers;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Ability to take initiative and responsibility, build and maintain positive relationships, value the opinion of others, and work in an advisory mode to country delegations; </li><li style="text-align:justify;">A well-developed sense for teamwork and ability to interact with a diverse array of people;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Excellent communication skills in English, including writing and verbal skills;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Ability and flexibility to travel.</li></ul> Our offer Application Deadline: December 31, 2025 Starting date: As soon as possible Duration of the Contract: 10-12 months (until 31 December 2026 and with possibility of extension)      Location: Dili, Timor-Leste   For further information send your questions via email to procurement@climateanalytics.org.   Please apply with your CV, cover letter and a list of three references in PDF format exclusively using the application form at the earliest.
