Embedded with risk, portfolio managers and traders, the group partners cross-functionally to design and deliver the infrastructure required for effective execution and investment management. We are seeking an Director, Full Stack Engineer to join our New York office, working directly with the Credit Risk Management and Trading. This individual will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable technology solutions. The role requires strong hands-on development skills, the ability to propose and oversight architecture enhancements, and a proven record of building and managing high-quality systems that support risk management and investment decision-making.  Primary Responsibilities <ul><li>Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of risk management applications. </li><li>Lead the design and architecture of risk platforms ensuring alignment with business goals</li><li>Ability to combine tactical deliveries and strategic goals</li><li>Deliver reliable, well-tested code within an Agile environment. </li><li>Support the full software lifecycle: analysis, coding, deployment, and ongoing enhancements. </li><li>Partner closely with risk managers, traders, portfolio managers, and colleagues to translate business needs into technical solutions. </li><li>Participate in design discussions, peer code reviews, and team knowledge sharing. </li><li>Troubleshoot issues, provide production support, and improve system reliability. </li><li>Ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical specification</li><li>Build new tools and integrate existing internal/external into a Apollo risk infrastructure.  </li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. </li><li>8+ years of technology experience, including at least 3 years in a trading environment. </li><li>Proven track record of building and deploying risk management software in production, both for End of day and live risk </li><li>Hands-on development experience with Python, web development is a plus. </li><li>Exposure to risk solutions across asset classes</li><li>Familiarity with credit and/or structured products strongly preferred. </li><li>Experience with risk factor modeling, P&amp;L attribution, and scenario analysis. </li><li>Strong database skills (SQL and/or NoSQL), with experience in query optimization and data management. </li><li>Familiarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka and working knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Git). </li><li>Experience delivering full-stack applications in Agile development environments. </li><li>Ability to understand complex multi-system architecture, and evolve it to more coherent simplified state</li><li>Strong initiative, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Collaborative approach with the ability to partner effectively across levels of seniority. </li></ul>Pay Range$225,000 - $275,000Apollo Global Management, Inc.
