Develop Python scripts to process large datasets (CSVs, CAN logs) for pattern recognition and risk identification, and contribute to testing infrastructure by designing and building custom test assets. </span><b style="font-size:16px;">Note: This specific opportunity is a 6-month internship.</b><b style="font-size:16px;"> </b></div><br><br><h3>Program Requirements</h3><ul><li>Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., or other advanced degree in a relevant engineering field.</li><li>Plan to return to school after completing the internship.</li><li>Maintain good academic standing.</li><li>Available to commit to either a 12-week summer internship (May or June 2026 start) or a 6-month co-op.</li><li>At least one prior industry internship, co-op, or relevant project experience.</li><li>Willing and able to relocate to the Bay Area, California, for the duration of the internship.</li><li>Interns may not use proprietary Zoox information in university theses, publications, or share it outside of Zoox.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Proficiency in Python is required.</li><li>Familiarity with electronics and hardware, including the ability to troubleshoot system-level issues using test equipment and data.</li><li>Demonstrate hands-on experience using lab tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply)Experience with building a PC</li></ul><h3>Bonus Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Participation in engineering competitions (e.g., SAE, FIRST, DARPA, Solar Car)</li><li>Exposure to vehicle or embedded communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI, UART, and Ethernet through coursework, labs, or projects.</li><li>Experience taking a custom PCBA or mechanical design from concept through fabrication and assembly</li></ul><br><div><b style="font-size:16px;">Compensation:</b></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">The monthly salary range for this position is $6,500 to $9,500. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level of education.
