We are looking for someone with a deep knowledge of flexibility markets, coupled with analytical expertise, to match market mechanisms to trading and scheduling strategies.</span></div><br><br><h3>What you will do:</h3><ul><li>Market expert.  Understand, define, and disseminate functional requirements from the full range of markets and services. </li><li>Strategy owner. Evaluate market and service structures, identify participation criteria for all relevant asset and customer types, and then develop applicable strategies in partnership with the Trading team.</li><li>Creative thinker. Identify key opportunities and fundamental barriers, and take a pragmatic approach to solution design. </li><li>Action-oriented. Lead the charge in advocating market and service simplification and lowering the barriers to entry through detailed understanding of the existing structures, engagement with all relevant internal and external stakeholders and by proving capabilities in the real world </li><li>Analytical mindset. Use data and analysis to inform decision making. Work closely with the Data Science team to scope investigations and validate insights. </li><li>Clear Communicator. Translate product, market and operational requirements into clear and concise technical requirements for analysts and developers</li><li>Ownership. Accountable and responsible for coordinating with internal commercial, policy, product and engineering team members to ensure successful participation in all selected services</li></ul><h3>What you will need: </h3><ul><li>Strong working knowledge of energy and grid service markets (bias towards GB but with the ability to generalise globally), as well as grid-tied technologies, such as PV, wind, demand response, and storage.</li><li>Demonstrated techno-economic and financial modelling expertise, both rapid and comprehensive</li><li>Experience digesting and translating technical requirements and policy/regulatory information for commercial applicability</li><li>An ability to respond to complicated briefs from stakeholders, make decisions and communicate appropriate strategies</li><li>An agile mindset; you can both nurture a commercial offering and optimise the implementation to the smallest detail</li><li>An ability to pick up work in a fast paced environment with a willingness to learn</li><li>Entrepreneurial instincts with clear bias for informed action and track record of leading new initiatives with limited resources and support</li><li>An ability to relate to individuals and nurture other team members</li><li>Excellent communication and documentation skills</li><li>Experience with Python and SQL would be a bonus</li><li>An interest in sustainability, green energy and Net Zero power systems</li></ul><br><div>💚 Why else you'll love it here 💚 </div><div><br></div><div>• <b>💰 Wondering what the salary for this role is? </b>Just ask us!
