Today, our team of more than 700 lawyers, scientists, economists, policy advocates, communications experts, and others work across the United States and the globe from our offices in Beijing; Chicago; New Delhi; New York; San Francisco; Santa Monica; and Washington, D.C. NRDC is seeking a Summer 2026 Photography Intern to work with the Communications, Multimedia team associated with our New York office.<h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Assist with research, selection and licensing of stock photography, illustration for editorial, social and digital advocacy &amp; fundraising photo &amp; video projects.</li> <li>Receive training in Photoshop editing techniques for basic color correction and resizing final files for digital delivery.</li> <li>Assist with commissioning photo shoots. Receive training and oversight to create photo shoot production timelines, call sheets and shot lists.</li> <li>Photographing evergreen content for the NRDC DAM (digital asset management) if applicable to candidate’s skills. </li> <li>Assist with research, selection and licensing of stock footage for use in social vertical videos.</li> <li>Receive training in basic video editing and/or design if applicable to candidate’s skill set.</li> <li>Gain an understanding of how Design, Video and Photo Teams collaborate on creative storytelling.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2>Required<ul> <li>Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program.</li> <li>Photography-related experience (either educational or professional).</li> <li>Knowledge/experience with Adobe Creative Suite.</li></ul> Preferred<ul> <li>Majoring or minoring in Photography or related visual art.</li></ul> NRDC is committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion, both in our work and in our workplace.
