Job Description<div><div>Beyond Meat is currently seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our Operations Team as a Value Stream Project Manager.  They will play an important role in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of our value streams by overseeing project initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams, and implementing process improvements.  This innovative, data driven, highly communicative, purposeful Project Manager will focus on delivering value through streamlined processes and optimized project delivery for Beyond Meat.  </div><div> </div><div>TASKS, DUTIES, &amp; GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES </div><div><ul><li>Map, analyze, and optimize value streams to enhance process flow and eliminate waste. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of value stream activities with organizational goals. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Continuously assess and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of value streams.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Lead and manage projects within the value streams from initiation to completion, defining critical milestones, resource planning, development of business cases, and ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Engage with key stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Develop project objectives, roles, responsibilities, plans, milestones, schedules, and budgets within a detailed project plan; monitor project progress and adjust as necessary for on-time delivery and/or budget. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Facilitate relationship and communication between teams and stakeholders, ensuring that project goals are clearly understood and met for delivering to scope satisfaction. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Manage issues and align cross functional teams by leveraging subject matter expertise; proactively identifying and mitigating risks to deliver expected results on time. </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>Present frequent and transparent project updates, performance metrics, and improvement plans to senior leadership and all stakeholders while managing expectations. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives within value streams using Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within the value streams and develop strategies to address them. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Implement performance measurement systems to track the effectiveness of improvements. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of value stream projects. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Prepare and present detailed reports on project performance, including successes, challenges, and areas for improvement while aligning business objectives and project expectations. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Define resource requirements and managing resource availability &amp; allocation – both internal and third party </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Collaborate with discipline leads to develop comprehensive resource models and risk mitigation plans. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Manage issues and align cross functional teams by leveraging subject matter expertise; proactively identifying and mitigating risks to deliver expected results on time. </li></ul></div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Supervisory Duties (if applicable) </div><div><ul><li>None </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>QUALIFICATIONS </div><div>Education, Technical Skills, and/or Previous Experience:  </div><div> </div><div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain or a related field; relevant certification (i.e. PMP, Lean Six Sigma) is a plus </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>CPG experience preferred </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>2-3 years of project management experience, with a focus on value stream mapping, process improvement, or operations management </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills; strong problem-solving abilities  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Proficient is MS Office, Outlook, Smartsheet, and other spreadsheet and project management software such as MS Project, Palantir, etc. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Proficient in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Thorough understanding of Waterfall and Agile Project Management methodologies preferred </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Financial acumen to support P&amp;L development, review, and tracking </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Supervise and collaborate with project stakeholders </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Adept at working and facilitating within cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment involving Supply Chain, Operations, R&amp;D (Research and Development), Creative, Finance, and Marketing </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide teams towards successful project completion </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Proficient in data analysis and performance measurement to identify opportunities for improvement  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience with Project Retrospection or Postmortems </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>WORK ENVIRONMENT </div><div><ul><li>Must be on-site 5 days per week at our El Segundo, CA headquarters </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Position requires the ability to stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periods of time </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Position located in a mix of laboratory, pilot lab, warehouse, and office environments; requires a tolerance for high worker traffic, close quarters, noise, odors, dust, and varying room temperatures and lighting </li></ul></div><div> </div></div>**Annual salary commensurate with experience** The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $100,000 and $115,000. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
