Courage is the human emotion shared among our riders and with us as a brand.About the role an what you'll be doingAs Cowboy enters a new chapter, we’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to help strengthen and rebuild our mechanical design capability.Working closely with Industrial Design, manufacturing partners, and suppliers, you’ll take ownership of mechanical subsystems and contribute across the full product development cycle, from early concept and architecture through to detailed design and industrialisation.This role offers significant ownership and impact, with the opportunity to help shape both future products and how the mechanical design function evolves during this rebuild phase.<ul><li>Defining detailed 3D and 2D of mechanical bike components</li><li>Performing CAE and optimising the design for performance and cost, whilst working to the defined project timelines</li><li>Analysing the tolerance of complex assemblies and defining tolerance chains</li><li>Participating to prototype parts and assemblies, proposing design improvements</li><li>Creating innovative solutions for the future generation of bike</li><li>Exchanging data with suppliers, to ensure new parts are also taking into account the relevant manufacturing processes used to make the parts</li></ul>RequirementsWho we are looking for<ul><li>Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Aeronautical, Industrial Design) with minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience</li><li>Fluency with a wide range of manufacturing processes (extrusion, forging, casting, stamping, hydro-forming, milling, injection molding) and materials (alloys, plastics, elastomers)</li><li>Proven experience leading design of complex assemblies</li><li>Good understanding of tolerancing of mechanical assemblies</li><li>Confident and capable to work in Solidworks</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communicator, proven track record of working in a dynamic cross functional team</li><li>Well organised and have the ability to be flexible in a changing work environment</li><li>Bike design experience is a plus</li></ul>BenefitsWhat we offer you<ul> <li>Highly competitive package with a clear and open salary structure</li> <li>Equity</li> <li>30 days annual leave/ vacation days (exclusive of local bank holidays)</li> <li>Your own Cowboy bike whilst you’re with Cowboy (and a nice discount for your family)</li> <li>Daily meal allowance</li> <li>Opportunity to become one of the key employees of a fast-growing startup with open, respectful and fun company culture</li> <li>Having a real impact on the company’s growth and evolution</li> <li>Working with people who love what they do every day</li> </ul> Just like our rider community in cities across Europe, diversity is a strength.
