We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service.</p><h2>Overview</h2><p>We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Composite Hand Lamination Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for performing composite layup operations to manufacture high-quality composite parts. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated experience in pre-preg ply placement on open face tooling, ply orientation and material consolidation techniques. </p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Perform tooling prep operations in preparation for lamination. </li> <li>Prepare and organize composite materials in preparation for lamination. </li></ul><ul> <li>Apply composite materials onto molds or tooling surfaces using techniques like hand layup or automated processes. </li> <li>Ensure proper ply orientation, ply thickness, and material consolidation is achieved. </li> <li>Proficiency in vacuum bagging techniques for composite layup operations. </li> <li>Interpret engineering drawings and specifications. </li> <li>Basic use of computers for documentation and record-keeping purposes. </li></ul><h2>Required</h2><p> </p><ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. </li> <li>Reliable, punctual and have dependable transportation. </li> <li>Able to verbally communicate read and comprehend written and verbal instructions. </li> <li>Basic knowledge of computers for documentation and record-keeping purposes. </li></ul><ul> <li>Knowledge of basic hand tools and inspection equipment. </li> <li>Able to lift assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs aided or unaided.</li> <li>Able to become certified to wear a respirator. </li> <li>Have no known allergies to epoxies or other composites materials. </li></ul><h2>Desired</h2><p>The target base pay for this position is $17-$25/hour.
