And that’s where you come in.Job Description:​Manufacturing Production Planner£52,000 per annum + 15% shift allowance Shift based - 5 on 4 off, 4 on 5 off - days and nightsYorkPermanentYour new role<ul><li>Deliver the overriding Maintenance Plan in the form of a Movements Plan to achieve maximum train availability in line with the requirements set out in the contract.</li><li>Assess the operational situation and dispatch requirements in order to inform the maintenance plan.</li><li>Maintain Fleet Balances to ensure the correct fleet types are sent on the correct diagrams.</li><li>Focus on future maintenance work: daily; weekly; monthly; quarterly; and annually in order to develop and continually refine the maintenance plan for units operating the ECML.</li><li>Manage a balanced unit rotation to maximise the mileage across the fleets.</li><li>Be the Single Point of Contact (SPoC) between the customer and internal departments with regards to operational needs.</li><li>Direct point of contact for Depots and outstations with regards to operational changes and requirements.</li><li>Identify and prioritise maintenance activities in accordance with contractual, performance, technical and safety requirements.</li><li>Plan the implementation of fleet modifications.</li><li>Liaise with Engineering staff and promulgate immediate Engineering Change where required.</li><li>Responsible for chairing conference calls with internal stake holders and third-party maintenance suppliers.</li><li>Direct liaison to third party maintainers in which their activities need incorporating into the overriding plan</li><li>Ensure defects in-service and emerging work requirements discussed with the relevant locations and incorporated into the working plan.</li><li>Liaison between the commercial team assisting with relevant operational information which may assist in their investigations.</li><li>Manage costs through the effective and efficient alignment of resources and operational capabilities. </li><li>Comply with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive improvement.</li><li>Be reactive to incidents, disruptions and emergencies on the operational railway and amend the maintenance plan and movements plan accordingly.</li><li>Liaise with Production Schedulers and Support Engineers at the Train Maintenance Centre to agree the maintenance plan to be executed.</li><li>Liaise with Operations Support and Engineering staff to incorporate overhauls and technical investigations into the maintenance plan.</li><li>Utilise SAP Maintenance Management System (MMS) and other IT applications (SOROS, HFMT, Genius, smart sheets, Trello) where required in order to inform and develop the plan.</li><li>Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders and maintain a customer focus.</li><li>Prepare reports and give verbal briefs as required.</li></ul>About you<ul><li>Previous experience of maintenance planning, scheduling and production.</li><li>Sound knowledge of railway operations and compliance to railway rules and regulations.</li><li>Excellent problem solving skills and ability to think quickly.</li><li>Experience of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) – SAP, Maximo or Equinox.</li><li>Minimum Engineering HNC or equivalent vocational experience.</li></ul>    Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
