You will help optimize the performance of Base’s fleet of distributed, behind-the-meter batteries across ERCOT and other markets. Your work will span ISO stakeholder engagement, technical and business analysis, and hands-on support of our real-time operations team to drive asset value.What You'll Do<ul style=""><li>Monitor and interpret ISO protocols, regulatory updates, and market rule changes through active participation in ISO stakeholder processes.</li><li>Conduct asset deployment valuation and technical analysis to inform business development and strategic initiatives.</li><li>Develop white papers and recommendations to support market development efforts.</li><li>Collaborate with the real-time asset management team to maximize operational revenue from distributed battery fleets.</li></ul>What You'll Bring<ul style=""><li>Strong first-principles thinker who favors the simplest effective solution.</li><li>Deep understanding of power systems operations at both the distribution and wholesale levels, with a passion for further developing domain expertise.</li><li>Proficient in data analysis techniques with advanced programming skills in Python, Pandas, and SQL.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, including the ability to create clear, compelling data visualizations using tools like Plotly, Matplotlib, or Grafana.</li><li>Ability to contribute to external communications and technical product engineering initiatives.</li></ul>Preferred Skills<ul style=""><li>Technical background in power systems or a related field.</li><li>Experience as an energy manager or in operating grid-scale and behind-the-meter asset portfolios.</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Our Values</h2><ul style=""><li>First Principles Thinking: Question assumptions.
