Including but not limited to data retrieval, processing, and analytical review of chemicals to Ensure global SDS and label compliance.</li><li>Manage REACH and country specific chemical registrations.</li><li>Conduct relevant Level I EHSS Trainings.</li><li>Gather and organize relevant information utilizing multiple internal resources and provide timely feedback to Haz-com team.</li><li>Attend meetings and report pertinent, detailed information effectively to Haz-com team.</li><li>Provide daily accurate, concise, and punctual information to parties inside and outside the organization.</li><li>Oversee and apply discretion while solving problems and escalating issues to EHSS management when appropriate.</li><li>Oversee the planning and implementation of special projects and other duties as assigned.</li><li>Work with Product Managers on new product development to supply regulatory information for various raw materials.</li><li>Support the High Performance Materials (HPM) group with the registration and documentation of novel substances.</li><li>Work with consultants and CDX to maintain registrations for chemicals.</li><li>Assess and implement compliance with importation of new chemicals into foreign jurisdictions.</li><li>Facilitating the use of Industrial Hygiene practices throughout the plant and within the SDS and labeling.</li><li>Stay up to date with international importation procedures and registrations.</li><li>Mentor the Hazard Communications team through training, support, and guidance.</li><li>Act as administrator for the entire WERCS program to ensure that SDS, labels and label templates are kept up to date with spec changes and regulatory compliance.</li><li>Act as a backup site expert for the HC-CHP to problem solve lab and chemical hygiene issues.<ul><li>Ability to coordinate with EHSS Staff and Lab Staff including Laboratory Chemical Hygiene Officers (LCHO’s) to assure that chemical hazards and protective measures are considered.</li></ul></li><li>Backup for MLI’s Corporate Chemical Hygiene Officer (CCHO).</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Chemistry, industrial hygiene, or related field.</li><li>5 + years’ experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.</li><li>Certified on and able to interpret written code for IMDG, IATA, DOT, OSHA, and GHS regulations.</li><li>Strong Chemistry knowledge</li><li>Strong knowledge of computers and MS Office software.</li><li>Strong knowledge of arithmetic and grammar.</li><li>Strong understanding of TSCA</li><li>Understand and implement OSHA standards.</li><li>Certified in Laboratory and Industrial Hygiene and implement and advise on engineering controls and PPE where applicable.</li><li>Work towards certification in Safety (Industrial hygiene focus)</li><li>Demonstrated ability to:</li><li>Attention to detail.</li><li>Follow written and verbal instructions in English.</li><li>Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in order to meet established deadlines.</li><li>Work as a leader, member of the team and independently.</li><li>Perform tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>Maintain regular and punctual attendance.</li></ul><p><strong>SALARY &amp; BENEFITS</strong></p><p><em>Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.
