Job Description:Position: Product and Engineering Data and Systems SpecialistThis Product and Engineering Data and Systems Specialist is a subject matter expert who will be responsible for leading the implementation, configuration, and support of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, ensuring seamless integration between them. Key duties include translating business needs into technical solutions, managing PLM processes like change orders and item structures, developing solution designs, and acting as a subject matter expert for cross-functional teams. The role requires a deep understanding of PLM and ERP functionalities, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to drive successful outcomes. Key responsibilities<ul><li>System implementation and design: Lead end-to-end PLM/ERP implementation projects, including process mapping, solution design, configuration, and deployment. Understand and develop requirements for Engineering, Product Management and Quality team, while navigating the overall needs to Make to Quote, Make to Sell and Make to Deliver.</li><li>Business requirements and analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and validate business requirements, translating them into scalable system solutions.</li><li>Integration and data management: Ensure seamless integration between PLM and ERP systems, managing data flows and defining product data governance processes.</li><li>Subject matter expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for PLM and ERP, providing guidance on best practices and troubleshooting system issues.</li><li>Documentation and training: Develop and maintain key solution artifacts like functional design documents, process flow diagrams, and test scripts. Train end-users and provide ongoing support, create necessary documentation, crafting content, visuals to display impact and roles.</li><li>Process improvement: Analyze and improve PLM-related business processes across engineering, manufacturing, and quality departments.</li><li>Project and stakeholder management: Manage project timelines, expectations, and communication, escalating issues as needed. </li></ul>Qualifications and skills<ul><li>Experience: Proven experience in PLM/ERP system delivery and implementation, with strong skills in specific systems like Oracle, SAP, or PTC Windchill.</li><li>Technical skills: Proficiency in system configuration, data migration, and integration design. Ability to pull data from systems, reports, sort into visuals, provide examples, create records and do end to end flow from Engineering and Product roles and responsibilities.</li><li>Analytical skills: Ability to perform fit-gap analysis and translate business requirements into technical specifications.</li><li>Soft skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills are essential for working with cross-functional teams.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li> A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field like Computer Science or Engineering, Data Systems, Business Systems.</li><li>7+ years of experience in PLM/ERP system architecture, delivery and implementation</li><li>Expert/advanced knowledge of Arena PLM, architecture, best standards and understanding of how Engineering Data is used and its interaction with Supply Chain and Finance functions</li><li>Expert/advanced knowledge of ERP architecture, such as Oracle and NetSuite</li><li>Experience with launching new PLM and/or ERP systems</li><li>Experience with M&amp;A activities and the impact to data and systems</li></ul>Nextpower offers a comprehensive benefits package.
