Job Description:General Task Management<ul><li>Monitor and control shift production activities. Achieve given shift production targets with right Quality.</li><li>Design new processes and provide facilities &amp; methods to ensure the cost-effective integration of new products or for the improvement of existing ones into manufacturing operations.</li><li>Ensure Quality with continuous follow-ups with production team.</li><li>Assist with shop floor layout and cell designs. Develop fixtures and tooling for assembly tasks.</li><li>Generating production documentation such as assembly Work instructions. Reduce variability in manufacturing by providing standard work methods and work instructions.</li><li>Ensure product and process quality meets the specifications required.</li><li>Oversee installation of machinery and equipment.</li><li>Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout Remove waste from the processes.</li><li>Organize plant start-up and shut-down schedules to ensure minimum loss of production time.</li><li>Plan and organize maintenance. Respond to breakdowns. Report down time and possible trends.</li><li>Support and lead continuous improvement, problem solving and process improvement activities.</li><li>Carry out FMEAs, (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) process documentation and implement improvements. Implement Poka-Yoke (error proofing) where possible to prevent errors.</li><li>Investigate production and process issues providing technical support and training.</li><li>Keep up with current and developing engineering trends. Undertake special projects as required.</li><li>Quality control of work by appropriate reviews.</li><li>Write reports and present progress at project meetings and to clients.</li><li>Manage the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).</li><li>Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions.</li><li>Produce written reports and make presentations.</li><li>Undertake continuous training and development.</li><li>Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems</li></ul>  Supervise Production Activities:<ul><li>Oversee and coordinate daily fabrication operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.</li><li>Ensure all fabrication activities are carried out efficiently and in accordance with safety protocols.</li><li>Lead a team of production workers, providing guidance and support as needed.</li></ul> Team Leadership &amp; Training:<ul><li>Assign tasks to production workers, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and time.</li><li>Provide hands-on training to new employees and assist in their development.</li><li>Foster a positive working environment and ensure that safety practices are always followed.</li></ul> Problem Solving &amp; Troubleshooting:<ul><li>Identify and address any production or equipment issues that may arise during the fabrication process.</li><li>Work with engineering and quality control teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure continuous improvement.</li></ul> Quality Control:<ul><li>Ensure all products meet the specifications and quality standards set by the company.</li><li>Conduct regular inspections of the fabrication process and finished goods to ensure compliance with industry standards.</li><li>Maintain detailed records of production activities, inspections, and quality checks.</li></ul> Inventory &amp; Material Management: <ul><li>Ensure proper inventory management of raw materials and finished products.</li><li>Coordinate with the Production engineer to ensure material availability and minimize production delays.</li></ul> Here is some of what you’ll need (required)…<ul><li>Diploma in Mechanical Engineering</li><li>Proven 7-10 years of experience as a Production Supervisor.</li><li>Flexible and willing to work in the shifts</li><li>Outstanding verbal and written communication skills</li><li>In-depth knowledge of fabrication processes, machinery, and materials.</li><li>Excellent organizational and leadership skills</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office</li><li>Good knowledge of HSE and 5S standards</li></ul> Here are a few of our preferred experiences…<ul><li>Coordinate with the Production engineer to ensure material availability and minimize production delays.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvement</li><li>Knowledge of various processes from Fabrication, Product Assembly, Plating etc.</li><li>Demonstrable experience of running shifts production, preferably in the Manufacturing, automotive industry.</li><li>A full understanding of the requirements of running production shifts, such as health and safety and security requirements to include certification of dangerous goods handling and aviation security.</li><li>Team player with strong organizational skills.</li></ul> At Nextpower, we are driving the global energy transition with an integrated clean energy technology platform that combines intelligent structural, electrical, and digital solutions for utility-scale power plants.
