Position SummaryPriority Power is seeking a Director of Strategic Accounts to drive growth within our Municipalities, Universities, Schools, and Hospitals (MUSH) vertical. This is a direct sales role focused on originating new business, building long-term relationships, and expanding our footprint across public-sector and cooperative customers in both regulated and deregulated electricity markets. The ideal candidate knows the Southeast and Eastern U.S. energy landscape and understands how public institutions make decisions. Responsibilities<ul><li>Originate new business across municipalities, cooperatives, higher-education institutions, school districts, and healthcare systems.</li><li>Build and manage a strong pipeline through proactive outreach, relationship development, and opportunity identification.</li><li>Advise clients on Priority Power’s full suite of services, including energy procurement, distributed generation, grid infrastructure, storage, load optimization, and regulatory insights.</li><li>Manage the entire sales process—from discovery and solution scoping to proposal development and deal negotiation.</li><li>Partner with internal engineering, regulatory, analytics, and operations teams to deliver tailored solutions.</li><li>Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders such as city managers, cooperative leadership, facilities directors, superintendents, and hospital executives.</li><li>Stay current on regional market dynamics, regulatory developments, and competitive activity across the Southeast and Eastern U.S.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree.</li><li>7–10+ years of experience engaging municipalities, cooperatives, or public-sector customers in an energy-related capacity.</li><li>Strong understanding of both regulated and deregulated electricity markets.</li><li>Proven track record in direct sales, business development, or complex solution selling.</li><li>Deep familiarity with the Southeast and Eastern U.S. energy landscape and customer base.</li><li>Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.</li><li>Experience selling or advising on distributed generation, renewable energy, storage, or grid infrastructure projects.</li><li>Established network within the MUSH vertical.</li><li>Ability to successfully originate business without relying on formal RFPs.</li><li>Ability to manage long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.</li></ul>What Success Looks Like<ul><li>A consistently growing pipeline built through proactive outreach.</li><li>Strong relationships with public-sector and cooperative decision-makers.</li><li>Closing deals that generate recurring annual revenue across the MUSH segment.</li><li>Clear, professional communication and reliable follow-through.</li><li>Effective collaboration with internal technical and regulatory teams.</li></ul>  Why Choose Priority Power?
