Position Overview:Solid Power is seeking a Production Operator to join our talented team working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next-generation, all solid-state rechargeable batteries. Solid Power is a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative team environment. The Production Operator supports daily manufacturing of electrolyte powder used in next-generation battery materials. This role involves operating production and powder-handling equipment, following strict safety and quality procedures, and ensuring consistent product output. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a controlled chemical production environment.Job Duties:<ul><li>Operate mixers, reactors, dryers, jet mills, sieves, and packaging systems according to SOPs.</li><li>Monitor equipment performance and notify leadership of abnormalities or required adjustments.</li><li>Assist with equipment cleaning, changeovers, and basic maintenance tasks.</li><li>Accurately weigh, stage raw materials and powders.</li><li>Transfer materials between production steps using approved handling methods.</li><li>Package, label, and seal electrolyte powder following quality and safety requirements.</li><li>Complete batch records, log sheets, and digital entries with full accuracy.</li><li>Perform in-process checks as trained.</li><li>Communicate any deviations, material issues, or safety concerns immediately.</li><li>Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and chemical-handling protocols.</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized workspace in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.</li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and throughput.</li></ul>Qualifications/Requirements:<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Previous experience in chemical manufacturing, powder production, or similar environments preferred.</li><li>Comfortable working with powders, chemicals, and glovebox or controlled-atmosphere operations.</li><li>Ability to understand SOPs, follow instructions, and maintain accurate records.</li><li>Basic computer skills (training provided on internal systems).</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional &amp; team-oriented environment.</li><li>Available to work a 7:00am to 3:30pm shift (Monday through Friday).</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Most working hours will be spent on the production floor.</li><li>Ability to lift 50lbs daily.</li><li>Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary including, but not limited to eye protection, hair net, gloves, face mask, coveralls, full-face respirator or PAPR.</li></ul>Hourly Range: $20.00-$28.00/hourBenefits: Solid Power offers a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical/dental/vision insurance, employer paid Life/AD&amp;D/STD/LTD insurance, 401k with company match, paid holidays, generous PTO, up to six (6) weeks paid FMLA leave, cell phone reimbursement and eligibility to participate in our equity plan. Export Control Requirements: This position could require access to technology, software and other information that is subject to governmental access control restrictions, due to export controls.
