The candidate will assist the survey team in conducting field surveys, preparing cross-sections, and performing leveling and alignment checks under the supervision of the Surveyor or Resident Engineer to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.<ul><li>Assist the survey team in performing duties as assigned by the Surveyor or Resident Engineer.</li><li>Support survey activities, including setting up survey instruments and preparing cross-sections.</li><li>Help maintain accurate survey and level books for all site activities.</li><li>Assist in verifying structure layouts against approved drawings and checking alignment.</li><li>Support the Resident Engineer and Surveyor in monitoring survey operations and ensuring compliance with quality standards.</li></ul>With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.Suitable applicants will have/be:<ul><li>Tertiary qualifications: Diploma in Civil/Surveyor or a related discipline.</li><li>Some basic knowledge of survey work or interest to learn on the job.</li><li>Willingness to work outdoors and support field activities.</li><li>Basic understanding of survey instruments is a plus but not required.</li></ul>SMEC is an equal opportunity employer.
