You will have the opportunity to deliver various projects across rail, light rail, roads &amp; highways. This role involves day to day tasks related to system safety, systems engineering, and safety engineering.With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work. As a Senior Engineer you will:<ul><li>Prepare system safety assurance plans.</li><li>Prepare system assurance reports.</li><li>Facilitate risk assessment workshops.</li><li>Provide system safety assurance advice and support to projects meeting the requirements outlines in the Rail Safety National Law and WHS Act.</li><li>Collaborate with appropriate team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and co-ordination of project deliverables.</li><li>Apply project management principles in carrying out assigned tasks and accomplish project deliverables to the required standard and in a timely manner.</li></ul>Suitable Applicants Will Have/be<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering</li><li>Min of 5 years’ experience working on rail projects, with an understanding of TAO requirements</li><li>Good understanding of EN20126 / 28/29 standards</li><li>Experience facilitating risk assessment workshops (PHA/SHA, IHA, OSHA and CHAIR)</li><li>Experience preparing and managing hazard log, including ADCs and SFAIRP justifications</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills</li></ul>In return, SMEC offers you the benefits that come from working in a global multidisciplinary consultancy in an environment where your fresh ideas and enthusiasm will be welcomed and rewarded.SMEC is an equal opportunity employer.
