The Senior Director of Business Systems is a strategic leadership role responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of the company's enterprise application landscape. This leader acts as a trusted partner to the business, aligning technology initiatives with Workiva's overarching goals to drive operational efficiency, scale the business, and accelerate innovation.You will lead a team of high-performing business systems professionals and be accountable for the full lifecycle of our business applications—from strategic planning and implementation to ongoing optimization and support. Proactively manage expectations with stakeholders, mitigate risks, and ensure the team delivers on its commitments with quality and predictability</li><li>Financial &amp; Vendor Management: Plan and manage the budgets and expenditures specific to your systems domain. Oversee vendor relationships, including contract negotiation, performance management, and new technology evaluation</li><li>Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of innovation by staying current with emerging technologies and trends, including AI, automation, and data analytics. Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems to increase productivity and enhance the user experience</li></ul>What You’ll NeedMinimum Qualifications <ul><li>10+ years of progressive experience in IT or Business Systems, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing teams and enterprise applications</li><li>Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field</li><li>Demonstrated experience in developing and executing technology roadmaps and strategic plans</li><li>Strong understanding of enterprise software systems, business processes, and project management methodologies</li><li>Proven ability to build, lead, and mentor high-performing teams</li><li>Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across all levels of the organization</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and complex technology projects</li><li>Experience leading large-scale technology transformation (e.g., ERP, CRM, Customer Support platform implementations)</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>MBA or Master's degree is a plus</li><li>Proven expertise in driving organizational change and promoting the adoption of new technologies</li><li>Relevant experience, training, and certifications to the business domain you support (e.g., Go-to-Market, Finance, Customer/Partner Experience)</li></ul>Working Conditions &amp; Travel Requirements <ul><li>Ability to travel to meet with teams in other Workiva locations (up to 25%)</li><li>Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office</li></ul>How You’ll Be Rewarded✅ Salary range in the US: $203,000.00 - $325,000.00✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits packageThe salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US.
