We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.</div>What you’ll do:<ul><li>Support the development of the aircraft’s Landing Gear &amp; Brake Control Systems.</li><li>Support the design, build, and implementation of flight hardware, test stands, procedures and reports, for qualification, certification, and production applications.</li><li>Team responsibilities include the landing gear, brake system, wheels, and tires. </li><li>Own the technical direction of the designs, as well as the management of their delivery, conformity, test, and certification.</li><li>Coordinate with suppliers, manage technical deliverables.</li><li>Performance analysis, eg: braking energy, multibody dynamic landing analysis.</li><li>Write, review and conduct tests at the equipment and system level. </li><li>Flight test data review.</li></ul>What you’ll need:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering (or related)</li><li>5+ years in mechanical design,  Landing Gear  design, Brake system design, or related experience</li><li>Demonstrated ability to take ownership or leadership in an engineering project</li><li>Demonstrated ability to seek out key (missing) information for challenging tasks</li></ul>Relevant skills include:<ul><li>Mechanical design and drawing generation using CAD tools</li><li>Kinematic analysis and optimization</li><li>Structural analysis utilizing hand calculations and finite element methods</li><li>Design for manufacturing and assembly</li><li>Experience in areas such as:</li><li>GD&amp;T for mechanical systems.</li><li>Design for 14 CFR Part 23/27 compliance to systems requirements.</li><li>Structural analysis utilizing hand calculations and finite element methods.</li><li>Materials selection inclusive of alloys, heat treatments, allowables, and surface treatments.</li><li>Siemens NX CAD and Simcenter FEA tools.</li><li>Analyses: Modal, nonlinear and linear buckling, fatigue.</li><li>Exhibits ownership</li><li>Ability to thrive within ambiguity</li></ul>Bonus qualifications:<ul><li>Siemens NX CAD and Simcenter or Ansys FEA tools</li><li>Familiarity with PDM systems</li><li>Familiarity with GD&amp;T</li><li>Familiarity with 14 CFR Part 23 &amp; Part 27 regulations</li><li>MSC Adams</li><li>Proficiency in Matlab, Python, Mathcad.</li><li>Hands-on machine shop or mechanic experience (professional or hobby)</li><li>RTCA DO-160, structural, or actuated mechanism testing experience</li><li>Demonstrated interest in aviation, including pilot training/license</li></ul> At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business.
