You will play a pivotal role in the region’s Project Finance &amp; Investments team. You will be responsible for financial analysis and risk assessment of investment opportunities in European energy markets (including Romania and Poland), as well as  work closely with our Energy Portfolio Management team on structuring off-take/revenue for our renewable energy projects and assessing value creation and risks on both project and portfolio level. Your focus will be on new opportunities during all phases of project development, i.e. from inception to financial close, and will therefore play an important role in realising our strategic growth ambitions in Europe. You will also support various investment analysis and project financing processes across the region.    Main responsibilities <ul> <li>Financial modelling: prepare comprehensive project financial models covering various technologies (PV, wind, BESS, hybrid); analyse project scenarios, focused on testing various revenue structures in merchant markets; support internal portfolio analysis efforts (including portfolio modelling); optimise business cases, maximising value creation</li> <li>Structuring: work closely with the Energy Portfolio Management team on off-take structuring: support project finance (loan) structuring, help improve project bankability; help shape the optimal portfolio for European merchant markets from an investor’s perspective; support business development team with financial analyses as required during commercial negotiations</li> <li>Cross-functional Collaboration:obtain project inputs from all stakeholders and ensure appropriate capturing in financial models; work closely with the Energy Portfolio Management team on defining and optimising project and portfolio risk / return; liaise with project team members / departments across the organisation and geographies; coordinate with within regional Project Finance &amp; Investments team on general PF policies and guidelines </li></ul>Qualifications and competencies <ul> <li>Bachelor/Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or similar University level education </li> <li>At least 4 years’ experience from (Project/Asset/Corporate) Finance, M&amp;A, investing or similar </li> <li>Excellent financial modelling skills, including cashflow modelling</li> <li>Strong analytical and quantitative skills + ability to analyse (complex) project and/or financing structures</li> <li>Ability to assess market and financial risk</li> <li>Experience with project-based work  </li> <li>Experienced in investment analysis  </li> <li>Language: fluent both written and spoken in English</li></ul> Personal characteristicsIt is part of every employees’ terms of reference to contribute to Scatec's vision: Improving our Future and adhere to our company values which are:<ul> <li>Predictable: demonstrate clear communication and listening skills, shares information in an open and honest way</li> <li>Driving results: demonstrate determination, pro-activeness, can prioritise and work independently</li> <li>Changemaker: demonstrate entrepreneurship, can challenge, fast learner, take initiates and adjust</li> <li>Working together: demonstrate teamwork, shares responsibilities, can compromise, has a can-do attitude</li></ul>We offerScatec is an exciting, innovative and ambitious company operating in a growing industry.
