This is an entry level role into the world of Broking and this opportunity can provide the successful applicant with on-the-job training and exposure to the financial markets we operate within. We are ideally looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual that can work autonomously and collaboratively in a small team and can think on their feet. Role Responsibilities:<ul><li>Arrange or introduce trades from client orders</li><li>Develop existing and new client relationships.</li><li>Understand the business objectives of clients.</li><li>Understand the underlying products being traded by clients and keep up to date with new products and procedures, and regulatory, execution and clearing (if applicable) requirements for those products.</li><li>Develop new business with existing clients and on-board new clients/traders.</li><li>Seek to increase the overall revenue of your desk.</li><li>Maintain an updated knowledge of the products and markets in which you work; actively solicit feedback from industry participants through various means, including trade calls, surveys, industry events, trade shows and conferences</li><li>Understand the desk’s business strategy and seek to identify new business opportunities relating to trends, future markets, products and clients</li><li>On-board new clients following the correct process with the Client On-Boarding team</li><li>Assess client needs and financial conditions to identify internal cross selling opportunities</li><li>Understand pertinent regulation within the evolving regulatory landscape</li><li>Support a risk and compliance aware culture and comply with group policies</li><li>Exercise independent judgement and act with integrity, care, skill and diligence to avoid conflicts of interest and escalate issues as appropriate</li></ul>Competence/Experience:Essential:<ul><li>Understands ideas and has a viewpoint on the markets and economy</li><li>Willingness to engage with internal and external stakeholders outside of the immediate desk environment.</li><li>Bilingual language skills in Mandarin and English</li><li>Communicates effectively and efficiently to internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Builds relationships and networks with both internally and externally wherever possible</li></ul>Desirable:<ul><li>Personable and engaging</li><li>Demonstrates strong customer focus</li><li>Demonstrates ability to work effectively with others</li><li>Constructively handles disagreements to reach a resolution</li><li>Ability to work with diverse groups/ personalities</li><li>Taiwanese background</li><li>Cantonese language skills</li></ul>Job Band and Level: Professional, 4#LI-ENT#TPNot The Perfect Fit?Concerned that you may not meet the criteria precisely?
