Employees in the Engineer I position solve problems in engineering areas of specialization with close supervision. An Engineer I is expected to develop skills, and the ability to work with greater independence. An Engineer I has knowledge of fundamental concepts and procedures.<ul><li>Provide day-to-day operational and maintenance support of the station’s Power Block.</li><li>Develop preventive maintenance and outage plans, update procedures and technical documents.</li><li>Identify and manage O&amp;M and capital project scopes.</li><li>Coordinate with OEMs and internal teams; review inspections and corrective actions.</li><li>Ensure compliance with ASME/API/NFPA standards.</li><li>Provide engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and technical support.</li><li>Participate in safety reviews, hazard analyses, and incident investigations.</li><li>Oversee equipment performance and communicate maintenance needs</li></ul><h2>Additional Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Mechanical or Chemical Engineering background.</li><li>PSM facility experience; familiarity with GE turbines/HRSGs</li><li>Ability to review specs/drawings; basic project management skills.</li><li>Strong communication, teamwork, and independent work capability</li></ul><h2>Working Conditions</h2><ul><li>Valid Drivers License required</li><li>Onsite Mobility Classification – Work will be performed at a company facility.</li><li>Perform work in a power plant and office environment</li><li>Required to observe and work in all areas of the generating facility, which are power plant industrial environments operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with potential exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and humidity</li><li>Exposure to mechanical, electrical, noisy and/or other hazards</li><li>Required to wear personal protective equipment (hardhat, safety glasses, appropriate clothing, ear plugs, fall protection, etc.), as needed</li><li>Occasional mildly strenuous physical activity (extensive walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs/ladders, etc.)</li><li>Ability to lift 25 - 75 pounds</li><li>Ability to work at heights and from suspended work platforms</li><li>Required to work in all areas of the power plant</li></ul><h2>Basic Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Must have obtained Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program</li><li>A Master's degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S.
