Te āhua o te tūranga I The nature of the role We’re looking for a Technical and Commercial Advisor to help our customers achieve their decarbonisation goals. In this role, you’ll work closely with commercial, industrial, and large energy users to develop innovative electrification solutions that make both technical and commercial sense. You’ll play a key part in guiding businesses through the complexities of New Zealand’s energy sector and supporting their transition to a low-carbon future.Your work will involve modelling embedded generation and battery storage, assessing energy flows, and analysing process and electrical profiles to quantify costs, carbon footprints, and the impact of decarbonisation projects. You’ll use this insight to design strategies that optimise asset sizing, connection capacity, and load flexibility, ensuring customers can electrify their operations efficiently and sustainably.Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You’ll engage with clients, Transpower, distributors, consultants, and renewable energy providers to deliver technically and commercially viable solutions. By building strong partnerships and leveraging your industry knowledge, you’ll help shape projects that deliver value for money and accelerate New Zealand’s journey toward a net-zero carbon future.
