Are you ready to change the world with us?</div>ABOUT THE ROLEThe Commissioning Manager is responsible for creating and overseeing the commissioning process of utility-scale high-voltage, solar, and energy storage projects, ensuring all systems are tested, verified, and fully operational prior to project handover. You will be responsible for coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to validate system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards. The position requires extensive fieldwork and technical expertise in photovoltaic systems, energy storage systems, high-voltage systems, SCADA and associated infrastructure.WHAT YOU'LL DO<ul><li>Develop and manage commissioning contract exhibits, plans, schedules, and procedures for photovoltaic systems, energy storage systems, high-voltage systems, SCADA, and associated infrastructure.</li><li>Coordinate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless transition from construction to operational status.</li><li>Manage on-site Commissioning Managers and vendors to lead on-site testing and verification of electrical, mechanical, and communications systems, including inverters, transformers, SCADA, trackers, energy storage systems and all substation point-to-point testing with utilities and other AHJs.</li><li>Coordinate, produce, and communicate accurate test energy schedules to the utility.</li><li>Review and validate installation quality and system performance against design specifications and industry standards.</li><li>Contract and manage third-party testing and inspection activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.</li><li>Create a Commissioning plan and Clenera LOTO process</li><li>Review and monitor all EPC lock out, tag out (LOTO) processes and ensure acceptance by external stakeholders.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning, escalating as needed to engineering or vendor support.</li><li>Document commissioning results, punch lists, and final acceptance criteria; ensure all deficiencies are tracked and resolved.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of commissioning activities, including test reports, certifications, and as-built documentation.</li><li>Ensure safety protocols are followed during all commissioning activities.</li><li>Support training and handover processes for operations and maintenance teams.</li><li>Collaborate with individual department, as well as cross-functionally with other departments within the organization.</li><li>Maintain organizational excellence in terms of project timelines and deliverables.</li><li>Demonstrates the Clēnera Core Values of Caring, Committed, and Courageous.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering (electrical or mechanical), or related field, or equivalent years of commissioning experience.</li><li>Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in commissioning utility-scale renewable energy projects.</li><li>Licensure/Certification: OSHA 30, NETA III</li><li>Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Procore and an ability to learn company-specific software programs, tools, processes, and machines.</li><li>Skills/Attributes:<ul><li>Strong understanding of photovoltaic systems, energy storage systems, high-voltage systems, protection and control, SCADA and associated infrastructure.</li><li>Excellent project management and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.</li><li>Proficiency in commissioning software and data analysis tools.</li><li>Familiarity with NERC, NEC, IEEE, and other relevant standards.</li><li>Self-motivated to work through complex problems and competing priorities, including a high level of detail and organization.</li><li>Excellent commissioning knowledge of all equipment used for Solar, BESS and HV.
