As a company committed to diversity and inclusion, we encourage all professionals who meet the job description requirements to apply.</h3></div></div></div></div>This position supports the Financial Accounting &amp; Reporting Manager with a broad range of month-end close responsibilities, technical accounting research and various financial accounting duties. Responsibilities <ul><li>Identify, research and document technical accounting treatment related to acquisitions, divestments, swaps, corporate structure reorganization plans and other business activities ensuring compliance with IFRS and/or US GAAP.</li><li>Prepare single entity and consolidated financial statements with related footnote disclosures in accordance with applicable accounting standards.</li></ul><ul><li>Analyze and summarize financial information for various entities and business units as required for management reporting and to support external reporting requirements. </li><li>Support various aspects of the month-end close process including recording of journal entries, preparation of comparative period variance analysis and assisting others with interpreting and implementing new accounting standards and policies.</li><li>Support the Corporate Head Office Consolidation Team with relevant data for interim and annual external reporting and communication of complex accounting matters.</li></ul><ul><li>Prepare single entity and consolidated financial statements with related footnote disclosures in accordance with applicable accounting standards.</li></ul><ul><li>Review contracts with complex financial arrangements for accounting implications including lease accounting, revenue recognition and business combinations and prepare related technical accounting memos.</li><li>Liaise with internal and external auditors ensuring timely delivery of audit requests, resolution of outstanding issues and addressing questions related to technical accounting matters.</li></ul><ul><li>Prepare single entity and consolidated financial statements with related footnote disclosures in accordance with applicable accounting standards.</li></ul><ul><li>Evaluate processes and internal controls for continuous improvement recommendations and opportunities to implement automation, efficiency and cost savings.</li></ul>Education and Experience Requirements <ul><li>The legal authorization to work in the US for any US employer without the need for sponsorship</li><li>Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting</li><li>10+ years of financial accounting, reporting and/or audit experience</li></ul><ul><li>Strong understanding of accounting principles with working knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP</li><li>Prior hands-on experience working in the E&amp;P industry</li></ul><ul><li>Prior experience with SAP or similar accounting system required</li><li>Advanced level in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required</li><li>Public accounting experience and CPA license preferred </li></ul>Key Competencies <ul><li>Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and develop accurate reports</li><li>Strong time management skills with the ability to take initiative and prioritize work</li><li>Accuracy and attention to detail</li><li>Strong research, organizational and project management skills</li><li>Understanding of financial reporting requirements in a fast-paced global public company environment</li></ul>Repsol is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/Disability/Veteran#LI-KT1
