The Chef is responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious, high-quality meals for MAX employees while ensuring strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and cost-control standards. The role supports employee well-being and productivity by delivering timely, healthy, and culturally appropriate meals in a clean and safe environment.What You’ll Do:Meal Preparation &amp; Service<ul><li>Prepare daily meals according to approved menus, dietary requirements, and portion standards.</li><li>Ensure meals are nutritious, balanced, and aligned with employee preferences.</li><li>Serve food promptly and maintain quality during service hours.</li></ul>Menu Planning &amp; Cost Control<ul><li>Support menu planning with a focus on nutrition, variety, and cost efficiency.</li><li>Manage food portions to reduce waste and control costs. Monitor food usage and report shortages or excesses.</li></ul>Food Safety &amp; Hygiene<ul><li>Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, sanitation, and cleanliness in line with health and safety regulations.</li><li>Ensure proper storage, handling, and labeling of food items. Comply with internal HSE policies and local food safety laws.</li></ul>Inventory &amp; Supplies<ul><li>Monitor kitchen inventory and request replenishment in a timely manner.</li><li>Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment. Report faulty equipment or safety hazards immediately.</li></ul>Kitchen Management<ul><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times.</li><li>Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food preparation and kitchen operations.</li><li>Support inspections and audits when required.</li></ul>Collaboration &amp; Conduct<ul><li>Work closely with Admin, Facilities, and Operations teams.</li><li>Maintain a professional, respectful, and service-oriented attitude.</li><li>Uphold MAX’s values and code of conduct. </li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a corporate, industrial, or hospitality setting.</li><li>Knowledge of local and continental dishes; ability to adapt menus as needed.</li><li>Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.</li><li>Certification in Food Safety or Catering (added advantage).</li><li>Excellent cooking and food presentation skills</li><li>Strong time management and organizational ability</li><li>Attention to detail and cleanliness</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and meet meal deadlines</li><li>Good communication and teamwork skills</li><li>May require early mornings, shifts, or extended hours based on operational needs.</li><li>Physically demanding role requiring standing for long periods. </li></ul>Benefits<ul> <li>Competitive pay &amp; benefits </li> <li>Premium Health insurance cover</li> <li>Consistent Learning and Development</li> </ul>
