The AECOM Transport Planning and Operations team within the Transit &amp; Rail division of Transportation is seeking a talented, ambitious Transportation Planner/Engineer for immediate employment at one of our Toronto-area offices (Markham or Mississauga). The appropriately qualified applicant will be a key team member on a variety of local projects and will have the opportunity to build on their prior experience in transit, transportation, and urban planning in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.This is a newly created position.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Providing clients with transportation planning services, serving as a technical analyst and/or project coordinator, with a focus on transit planning, policy, and economics projects, such as:</li><li><ul><li>Transit station planning and functional design.</li><li>Transportation policy studies</li><li>Business case assessments for transportation projects</li><li>Transportation master plan studies</li><li>Active transportation planning and design projects</li><li>Environmental assessments for transportation facilities</li><li>Input to traffic impact studies</li><li>Transportation study peer reviews</li><li>Urban/City Planning</li></ul></li><li>Preparing documentation related to current or prospective projects, including correspondence, reports, maps, proposals, expressions of interest, specifications, consultation materials, and meeting minutes.</li><li>Communicating and working with other project team members, including mentoring junior-level team members</li><li>Liaising with and assisting other departments and offices in the provision of transportation planning services to clients.</li><li>Completing work within the prescribed time and budget while maintaining high-quality</li></ul> <ul><li> </li></ul>
