In this role you will:<ul><li>Perform experiments and testing under direction of the project Chemical Process and Test Engineers.</li><li>Document experimental procedures, safe operating procedures, and job hazard analyses.</li><li>Analyze and interpret data and report results to broader chemistry and engineering teams.</li><li>Plan, procure, setup, and commission laboratory and pilot process and test equipment.</li><li>Perform material characterization using techniques such as ICP-OES, XRD, SEM, etc.</li><li>Use equipment and instrumentation to monitor and record pressure, temperature, and other process conditions.</li><li>Assist with literature searches and technical research.</li><li>Stock and monitor laboratory supplies.</li><li>Assist and support the Hardware and Chemistry lab.</li><li>Support quality assurance to ensure results that meet Zeno Power’s quality management system.</li><li>Support EH&amp;S to ensure a safe working environment.</li><li>Help manage and facilitate chemical waste collection.</li><li>Assist with instrument and equipment maintenance and calibration.</li><li>Support Zeno Power's Safety Culture.</li></ul>Key Qualifications and Skills<ul><li>Associate's degree or higher in Chemical, Materials or Mechanical Engineering or Sciences from an accredited university</li><li>2+ years of laboratory, pilot, or other test experience</li><li>Hands-on experience in chemical engineering, process engineering, materials science, or related field</li><li>Experience working with radioactive materials is a plus</li><li>Ability to communicate across disciplines</li><li>Experience presenting data, analyses, and results to diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment</li><li>Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to coordinate and lead efforts with minimal direction</li><li>Excellent research, writing, and oral communication skills</li><li>Possess an eagerness to learn</li></ul>Job Functions<ul><li>Position requires in-office presence in Seattle (South Lake Union) Monday-Friday.</li><li>Travel: Travel may be required, &lt;10%</li><li>Motor Abilities: Sitting/standing for extended periods, gripping, fine motor control (hands)</li><li>Physical requirements: Ability to safely lift up to 15 pounds</li><li>Special Senses: Visual and audio</li><li>Work Conditions: Typing, standing/sitting working environment of &gt;8 hr/day</li></ul>Compensation and BenefitsThe anticipated pay band for this position is $30-$45/hr.
