In this pivotal role, you will identify and develop new business opportunities, guide country sales teams, and directly engage with customers to secure high-value projects across your territory. For food processing, GEA offers solutions for the preparation, marination and further processing of meat, poultry, seafood and plant-based products. The portfolio also includes processing lines for pasta, baked goods, snacks, breakfast cereals, confectionery and pet food, as well as equipment for slicing and packaging of food.Responsibilities / Tasks<ul><li>Drive sales by converting leads into opportunities, delivering demos, quotes, and tailored solutions, and managing customer relationships to close deals in alignment with R&amp;C teams</li><li>Target key applications and segments with compelling value propositions; provide market insights and competitor analysis to refine GEA’s portfolio</li><li>Develop and execute country-specific sales plans, drive quarterly targets, and collaborate with R&amp;C offices for strategic alignment</li><li>Serve as the central link between customers, R&amp;C offices, and internal teams; ensure smooth project handovers and leverage the Technology Center for trials</li><li>Track market trends and competitors, propose new applications or product enhancements, and represent GEA at industry events</li><li>Evaluate RFQs, assess risks, and prepare competitive SAP SOH quotations while ensuring contract viability and supporting negotiations</li><li>Lead relationships with major global accounts, ensuring seamless service and uncovering opportunities for deeper partnerships</li><li>Monitor market trends and competitor activities, provide feedback to Product Management, and support product innovation</li></ul>Your Profile / Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree (HBO level or equivalent) in a technical or commercial field</li><li>Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in machinery manufacturing, ideally within food processing</li><li>Strong technical knowledge and consultative selling expertise</li><li>Proven success in international sales and contract negotiation</li><li>Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch; German, French, or Spanish is an advantage</li><li>High commercial acumen, hunter mentality, and strategic thinking.</li><li>Flexibility to travel internationally as needed</li><li>You excel in building trust-based relationships with customers and partners</li><li>Driving initiatives independently with an entrepreneurial spirit</li></ul>Our offer<ul><li>Challenging position within a large international organisation</li><li>Competitive salary with 8% holiday pay</li><li>25 days' holiday and 13 ATV days based on full-time employment (CLA)</li><li>Travel allowance</li><li>Contribution towards a gym membership</li><li>A position within a company with many opportunities for advancement</li></ul>Our ValuesAt GEA we stand for Responsibility, Integrity, Diversity, Passion and Excellence.
