The role does not include people management responsibilities but carries significant influence over modeling approaches, storage performance assessments, and regulatory-facing technical work.</span></div><div><br></div><div>This role is preferably hybrid and open to candidates located anywhere in Canada. Ideally, candidates would be based near one of our offices in Innisfail, Calgary, or Montreal; however, remote candidates will also be considered.</div><div><br></div><div><b style="font-size:18px;">Key Responsibilities</b></div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;">• Lead the development of dynamic reservoir models in both saline aquifer and CO2 mineralization applications. This will include reviewing relevant academic studies and other publicly available information in order to refine model parameters and quantify uncertainty.  </span></div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;">• Use advanced simulation software to optimize CO2 injection schemes and forecast expected CO2 plume behaviour. </span></div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;">• Contribute to the screening and selection of CO2 injection sites by analyzing available data and quantifying expected CO2 storage performance. </span></div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;">• Assess and quantify risks to long term CO2 containment, and develop monitoring programs and mitigation strategies. </span></div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;">• Contribute to regulatory applications for CO2 storage schemes. </span></div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;">• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing reservoir modelling findings, ensuring all work is well documented for future reference and regulatory compliance. </span></div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;">• Stay up-to-date on the latest reservoir engineering practices and simulation tools, and contribute to the advancement of organizational reservoir engineering best practices. </span></div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;">• Coordinate with various subsurface team members including geologists, geophysicists, drilling/completions engineers, and MMV specialists to ensure successful implementation of CO2 storage projects.</span></div><div><br></div><div><b style="font-size:18px;">Qualifications</b></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">• </span><span style="font-size:11pt;">Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.</span></div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;">• Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng) with a Canadian engineering association.</span></div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;">• 10+ years of engineering experience with noteworthy experience in a reservoir engineering role. </span></div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;">• Significant experience with at least one reservoir modeling software.
