AECOM is seeking a creative and highly talented engineer and project manager to lead and manage a variety of water resources, stormwater, and natural resources engineering, planning, and design projects in our Raleigh, NC or Wilmington, NC offices. The ideal candidate will have experience with municipal, state, and federal stormwater programs and stormwater and water resources planning, design, and implementation. In this role, the successful candidate will manage and provide technical leadership for a variety of civil, water resources, and stormwater engineering projects in support of AECOM’s federal, state, municipal, and private clients. Experience successfully leading and managing projects of a highly technical nature will be essential to serve effectively in this role. In addition, the candidate will serve a key role in mentoring and developing mid- and junior-level staff.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Serve as a project and technical manager for stormwater planning, design, and implementation projects.</li><li>Lead preparation of project proposals and agreements.</li><li>Lead multidisciplinary teams in the preparation of design and construction drawings and documents (including opinions of probable construction cost) for stormwater infrastructure projects (including green stormwater infrastructure and nature-based solutions).</li><li>Provide technical direction, oversight, and review of project deliverables including performing technical quality review in accordance with AECOM quality standards.</li><li>Prepare, review, and seal design documents as a licensed professional engineer in North Carolina.</li><li>Provide bid and construction phase services for a variety of clients.</li><li>Organize and lead routine project communications with clients including in-person and virtual meetings.</li><li>Maintain existing client relationships and contracts through successful project delivery.</li><li>Develop new client relationships and lead business development efforts in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.</li><li>Play a key role in the development of statements of qualifications (SOQs) and proposals in response to requests for qualification (RFQs) and requests for proposals (RFPs).</li><li>Attend and facilitate client meetings and coordinate with regulatory agencies.</li><li>Coordinate with and provide direction to AECOM project team members and subcontractors (when used).</li><li>Participate in local and regional water resources organizations, as appropriate, on behalf of AECOM, including attending and presenting at technical conferences.</li><li>Some local travel will be required in North Carolina; occasional travel outside of local area may be required.</li></ul>
