Working at Freudenberg: We will wow your world!<h1>Responsibilities:</h1><ul><li>Planning and scheduling production materials.</li><li>Order placement of production materials, services and equipment.</li><li>Management of open orders to expedite / push out as production schedule requires.</li><li>Price negotiations.</li><li>Supplier Development.</li><li>Assist with inventory control and reduction plans for FGI and Raw Materials.</li><li>Member of the new product development team representing Purchasing.</li><li>Assist inventory control personnel to resolve inventory conflicts / discrepancies.</li><li>Initiate and maintain planning parameters (safety stock, lead-times etc.) in ERP system.</li><li>Inter-company communications on material status as required.</li><li>Acts as key contact for vendors.</li><li>Purchases office supplies.</li><li>Reviews material requirements and orders as needed.</li><li>Works with planner on unforeseen requirements.</li><li>Assists Engineering Department to procure materials not yet required by production.</li><li>Assists Maintenance, Tooling as well as Production Department in purchasing auxiliary equipment, shop supplies, and other items as required.</li></ul><h1>Qualifications:</h1><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required</li><li>APICs certification, a plus</li><li>1-2 years or more of relevant experience</li><li>Knowledge and principles of production planning and scheduling processes.</li><li>Functional knowledge of lean production and inventory management principles.
