This includes high-performance HMIs, low-latency video pipelines, and robust connectivity between teleoperation stations and vehicles.</p><p>The team operates at the intersection of real-time systems, networking, graphics, and vehicle integration. The focus is on performance, determinism, and reliability across a wide range of hardware—from tablets and mobile controllers to full teleoperation stations.</p><h2>How you will leave your footprint</h2><ul><li>Build and evolve teleoperation HMIs using modern GUI frameworks (e.g. ImGui, Web) across multiple hardware form factors</li><li>Design and implement low-latency, high-throughput video pipelines with dynamic multi-stream management and precise time synchronization</li><li>Optimize glass-to-glass latency using GPU-accelerated video encoding/decoding and careful end-to-end tuning</li><li>Develop robust connectivity layers between teleoperator stations and vehicles, including V2V communication where required</li><li>Adapt teleoperation software to diverse hardware platforms, ensuring consistent performance, usability, and reliability</li></ul><h2>What you will bring to the team</h2><h3><strong>Required skills</strong></h3><ul><li>Strong C++ skills with experience in performance-critical and real-time systems</li><li>Hands-on experience with networking concepts and low-latency data transport</li><li>Experience building graphical user interfaces or visualization systems in C++</li><li>Solid understanding of Linux systems, threading, timing, and synchronization</li><li>A quality-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership for safety-relevant software</li></ul><h3><strong>Preferred skills</strong></h3><ul><li>Experience with video encoding/decoding pipelines, GPU acceleration, or multimedia frameworks</li><li>Familiarity with SD-WAN, adaptive streaming, or real-time media transport</li><li>Background in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or other safety-critical domains</li></ul><h2>What we offer @ FERNRIDE</h2><p>At FERNRIDE, we believe in empowering you to thrive both personally and professionally.
