<br><br><h3>About this role :</h3><ul><li><br></li><div>We are currently looking for our future Vision Systems Engineer to join our Process R&amp;D Team based in the Verkor Innovation Center (VIC) in Grenoble, France.</div><div><br></div><div>As such, your role is to prepare prerequisites and provide proper integrated solutions for vision-related projects. This role will work as a team with mechanical, process, and control engineers to research, develop, evaluate, optimize, and deploy various computer vision and deep learning models for different problems.</div><div> </div><div>You are encouraged to think critically and identify potential risks from the engineer's point of view, and tackle practical problems in manufacturing, with a comprehensive understanding of vision systems for hardware, software, interaction with machines, etc.</div><div> </div><div>This job will report to the Automation &amp; Vision Systems Development Manager and should be capable of designing algorithms independently to fulfill tasks allocated. Structured thinking and data sensitivity are compulsory.</div></ul><h3>Main responsibilities :</h3><ul><li>Define requirements and specifications of vision system for appointed scenario </li><li>Take ownership to propose and develop feasible and viable solutions for processes and meet customized requirements</li><li>Evaluate feasibility and performance of solution provided by suppliers</li><li>Validate, optimize and deploy computer vision models as integrated system </li><li>Report progress and results of vision technology studies to other Verkor departments</li><li>Provide troubleshooting and continuous improvement support for vision systems in production</li></ul><h3>Requirements :</h3><ul><li>M.S. in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence or similar discipline</li><li>At least 3 years of working experience on computer vision-related projects. </li><li>Industrialization experience is mandatory. </li><li>Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments, especially in the battery industry, is preferred.</li><li>Sufficient experience with vision Engineering design, including lighting, optics design, AOI, triggering, orientation, etc.</li><li>Hands-on experience configuring and deploying vision systems from ISRA, Cognex, and Keyence is preferred.</li><li>Deep understanding of computer vision and deep learning algorithms</li><li>Proficient with at least one machine learning framework such as Tensorflow, Keras and Pytorch</li><li>Experience in training models through GPU computing using NVIDIA CUDA or on cloud</li><li>Ability to transform research articles into a working solution for real-world problems</li><li>Strong experience in feature engineering with image processing algorithms</li><li>Proficient in Python; experience with C++ is a buff</li><li>Must have good object-oriented programming &amp; logical analysis skills</li><li>Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders</li></ul><br>
