We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.</div> What you’ll do:<ul><li>Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to design high-reliability, safety-critical systems for an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft</li><li>Zonal management of the digital mock-up for a large section of the aircraft</li><ul><li>Control space allocation for all subsystems</li><li>Manage routing envelopes for all subsystems</li><li>Ensure all subsystems are accessible and maintainable</li><li>Manage interface requirements models (IRMs) for their zone</li><li>Manage the top aircraft assembly part number and BOM structure</li><li>Hold regular design fly through meetings resolving any conflicts and maturing the design through CDR</li><li>Manage master geometry models for the respective zone</li><li>Ensure all system separation requirements are upheld</li></ul><li>Work closely with manufacturing engineering to ensure the aircraft zone is designed for manufacturing</li></ul>What you need:<ul><li>10+ years of systems or structural design engineering experience</li><li>BS, MS, or PhD in engineering</li><li>Excellent interpersonal communication skills</li><li>Excellent project management skills</li><li>Experience working on type certification of an aircraft from start to finish under 14 CFR Part 23/25/27/29 or equivalent regulations</li><li>Expert in CAD design and BOM management</li></ul>Bonus qualifications: <ul><li>2+ years leading teams</li><li>Prior experience with EWIS or Environmental control systems</li><li>Prior experience in structures design</li><li>Shop floor liaison engineering experience</li><li>Model based engineering definition experience</li></ul>At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business.
