This role is remote, ideally based in North Carolina, with extensive travel required to job sites nationwide.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Conduct on-site inspections and evaluations of solar photovoltaic facilities.</li><li>Assist in planning and executing daily activities.</li><li>Analyze construction methods and ensure adherence to quality standards.</li><li>Inspect work across civil, mechanical, and electrical scopes.</li><li>Generate detailed inspection reports and maintain thorough documentation.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of inspections for permanent files.</li><li>Identify and address punch list items.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of solar PV systems.</li><li>Conduct DC and AC testing, including polarity, open circuit voltage, grounding continuity, insulation resistance testing, and I-V curve tracing.</li><li>Perform drone (sUAS) and handheld infrared thermography inspections.</li><li>Maintain tools, instruments, and inventory stock.</li><li>Identify and mitigate safety hazards.</li><li>Collaborate effectively with project teams to optimize site performance.</li></ul>Preferred Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:<ul><li>2+ years of QA/QC experience</li><li>1+ years of experience in solar PV construction or maintenance, including DC operations, AC medium voltage systems, monitoring, civil, and racking installation.</li><li>Familiarity with SCADA, DAS, and UPS systems.</li><li>Experience with testing equipment, such as thermographic electrical inspection, IV curve tracing, megohmmeters, and ground fault detection tools.</li><li>Inverter manufacturer certifications (preferred).</li><li>Strong understanding of PV construction, including electrical, civil, and structural components.</li><li>Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard construction practices.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line and three-line diagrams.</li><li>Proficiency in Procore construction software and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal oversight.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Technological aptitude and adaptability.</li><li>Valid Driver’s License.</li><li>OSHA 10-Hour Training Certification.</li><li>NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Certification.</li><li>Willingness to travel extensively (90%+ of the time).</li></ul>Physical Requirements/Work Environment: <ul><li>Primarily field-based with extensive travel (90%+ required).</li><li>Compliance with all safety standards and PPE requirements (hard hat, arc flash protection, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.).</li><li>Ability to sit, stoop, kneel, bend, stand, and walk for 8-12 hours per day.</li><li>Availability to work Monday- Friday and occasionally on weekends.</li><li>Willingness to travel overnight and for extended durations.</li><li>Capability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs occasionally.</li></ul>We value strong teamwork and dedication to detailed execution in a fast-paced startup atmosphere.
