Tomorrow.io’s Government Business Development team enables nations and public institutions to manage risk faster than the speed of weather.We work with governments and public-sector stakeholders to modernize operations, ensure safety, and build long-term resilience through next-generation weather, climate, and operational intelligence.As VP, Government Business Development LATAM, you will own and scale Tomorrow.io’s government business across your region. You will be accountable for closing and expanding multi-year public-sector contracts, building a durable regional pipeline, and serving as the senior company representative to government stakeholders, partners, and international institutions. In addition, you will be responsible for leading and developing the regional government sales team, initially managing a small team and scaling it over time with full accountability for the performance, professional growth, and domain expertise of all sales personnel operating in the region.This role combines regional market leadership with hands-on execution. You will lead the region’s largest and most complex government opportunities while building the foundation for repeatable growth across priority sectors.<h2>What you’ll do:</h2><ul><li>Own the regional government business, including pipeline development, deal execution, and revenue delivery across priority sectors.</li><li>Lead the end-to-end sales cycle for complex public-sector engagements, from opportunity shaping and market entry through procurement, contracting, and expansion.</li><li>Build and maintain senior relationships with ministries, regulators, agencies, and state-owned entities relevant to priority use cases.</li><li>Shape and influence government programs aligned with national priorities, modernization efforts, resilience planning, and operational readiness.</li><li>Lead and oversee RFPs, tenders, and multi-stakeholder programs, including donor- or IFI-funded initiatives where relevant (e.g., World Bank, ADB, AfDB, IDB, USAID, JICA, etc.).</li><li>Build and manage a regional partner ecosystem, including systems integrators, local firms, international organizations, and strategic collaborators.</li><li>Work cross-functionally with product, solutions engineering, legal, finance, and delivery teams to tailor offerings and ensure successful contract execution.</li><li>Maintain a realistic, budget-aligned pipeline and provide accurate forecasting to executive leadership.</li><li>Strategically leverage executive involvement, including the founder/CSO, while independently driving deals to closure.</li><li>Represent Tomorrow.io at high-level government forums, industry events, and international conferences.</li><li>Travel up to 30% domestically and internationally as required.</li></ul><h2>What you bring:</h2><ul><li>Fluency in English, additional languages relevant to the region are a strong plus.</li><li>15+ years of experience in government, institutional, or enterprise sales, with significant responsibility for complex, multi-year public-sector deals.</li><li>Proven track record of closing large-scale government contracts, ideally in SaaS, data, infrastructure, or technology-driven solutions.</li><li>Strong understanding of public procurement, budget cycles, and the realities of navigating multi-stakeholder government environments.</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing formal tenders and RFPs, and comfort operating in regulated environments.</li><li>Demonstrated prior management experience, including leading regional sales teams, setting performance expectations, coaching senior sellers, and driving consistent execution across complex, distributed environments.</li><li>Ability to operate credibly with senior government officials and political stakeholders, strong judgment, and diplomacy.</li><li>Strong pipeline discipline and forecasting accuracy, able to distinguish political interest from funded opportunity.</li><li>Experience building and leading teams and partner ecosystems in-region.</li><li>Comfortable operating in a startup environment, combining strategic leadership with hands-on execution.</li><li>Self-directed, accountable, and mission-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and bias toward action.</li></ul><h2>About Tomorrow.io:</h2>tomorrow.io is helping the Government, Businesses, and Communities across Indonesia better manage their Climate Security Challenges.
