<h2>Overview</h2>We are designing the grid of the future!  EPE is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with a focus in developing modern web based front end solutions to be part of a dynamic and highly technical team.  In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of front-end components and interfaces for EPE software products that serve the energy industry.  You will have opportunities to work with the latest technologies and contribute to a growing portfolio of products that are helping shape the future of power systems.<h2>Responsibilities</h2>How you can make an impact:<ul> <li>Lead Front-End Development: Spearhead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality front-end components and interfaces that are integral to EPE’s software products.</li> <li>Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including back-end developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers, to create seamless and intuitive web applications that meet user needs and business objectives.</li> <li>Develop Scalable Solutions: Leverage modern front-end technologies, frameworks, and best practices to build scalable, maintainable, and performant solutions that support the rapidly evolving needs of the energy sector.</li> <li>Innovative Product Development: Contribute to a growing portfolio of products by introducing new features, improving existing functionality, and ensuring a smooth, reliable user experience.</li> <li>Maintain High Standards of Code Quality: Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code while adhering to best practices for front-end development, security, and performance.</li> <li>Stay Current with Industry Trends: Continuously explore and stay up to date with the latest technologies, tools, and trends in front-end development to ensure EPE’s software products remain at the cutting edge.</li> <li>Optimize User Experience: Use your expertise to ensure that EPE’s software products deliver exceptional, user-centered designs that improve usability and empower clients in the energy industry.</li></ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2>Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:<ul> <li>Proven experience (10+ years) as a Senior Software Engineer or Front-End Developer, with a strong emphasis on modern web technologies.</li> <li>Proficiency front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and popular frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js, etc.).</li> <li>A minimum of 5+ years of experience in developing with React.js is required.</li> <li>Experience in developing responsive and adaptive web applications.</li> <li>Strong understanding of front-end build tools and version control systems such as Git.</li> <li>Familiarity with back-end technologies (REST APIs, GraphQL, etc.) and the ability to collaborate effectively with back-end teams.</li> <li>Deep knowledge of UI/UX design principles and the ability to work with design teams to create visually compelling and user-friendly interfaces.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.</li> <li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.</li> <li>A passion for the energy sector and a desire to make a meaningful impact through technology.</li></ul>Desired Skills:<ul> <li>Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and microservices architectures.</li> <li>Familiarity with containerization and deployment tools like Docker and Kubernetes.</li> <li>Knowledge of testing frameworks and methodologies for front-end development.</li> <li>A strong portfolio showcasing previous projects that demonstrate a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.</li></ul> Lead the change!Be a part of an innovative team shaping the grid of the future through advanced energy intelligence.  For more than half a century, Electric Power Engineers (EPE) has partnered with power and energy clients across the globe, providing consulting expertise and energy intelligence software solutions for complex engineering and grid modeling challenges.
