This position holds fiscal budgeting responsibility for both CapEx investment and OpEx spend for continuing operations required to achieve company goals and growth.</div></div><div><div> </div><div>The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a durable goods manufacturing environment, preferably with a start-up organization competing within a high growth and rapidly changing business environment. This position requires an individual capable of a healthy mix of hands-on knowledge, shop floor execution, and technical team leadership in parallel to development of forward-looking investment and project execution plans delivered to company leadership and executives.</div><div> </div></div> Responsibilities   <div><div>Facilities Maintenance &amp; Operations<ul><li>Identify, schedule, and document all on-going facility maintenance and procurement plans covering building/site infrastructure, shared utilities (produced and purchased), consumables, and soft services support including security, site logistics, and catering</li><li>Continuously evaluate “do vs buy” comparisons of self-performing versus contracting work efforts for repairs, installations, and facility upkeep programs taking into account cost, responsiveness, and quality to select best overall value</li><li>Lead Facilities business process improvement initiatives including energy efficiency, material recycling/reuse for waste minimization, and working with equipment and process engineers to establish optimum building/site layout efficiency</li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Process &amp; Equipment Support<ul><li>Contribute to or lead equipment failure or incident investigations and identification of corrective and preventive actions </li><li>Identify space and utility limitations to in-house expansion; develop mitigation plans to include in budgeting and project scheduling activities for company success</li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Strategic Planning &amp; Real Estate<ul><li>Work with Peak Energy Strategy team to determine future real estate portfolio required to support company growth</li><li>Evaluate greenfield vs brownfield projects, geography/labor markets, lease vs purchase options, and permitting requirements in consideration of budget, schedule, and resource availability</li><li>Understand future company staffing projections and maintain adequate office infrastructure including real estate and furniture, working with IT for technology infrastructure upgrades</li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Construction &amp; Project Management<ul><li>Establish and manage construction/expansion project budgets</li><li>Develop project scope for contracting technical design and execution teams</li><li>Manage external resources to meet project budget and schedule</li><li>Develop commissioning and move-in/hand over work plans to close out projects</li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Safety &amp; Regulatory Compliance</div></div><div><div><ul><li>Coordinate site safety plans including Emergency Response, LOTO, powered industrial truck, energized work, rigging and lifting equipment, and machine/tool handling</li><li>Conduct EH&amp;S risk/hazard assessments for new equipment and tools prior to installation</li><li>Work with stakeholders to ensure all equipment brought into the facility meets applicable local, state, and federal requirements</li><li>Identify applicable regulatory permits and programs the company must attain and/or comply with for operations</li><li>Support emergency preparedness, response, recovery, and business continuity</li></ul></div></div> Required Qualifications <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields</li><li>5+ years of relevant work experience in battery, semiconductor, technology, or similar industry preferred</li><li>Proficient in project management with proven ability to identify initiatives, establish project plans and resource requirements, obtain stakeholder and management buy-in, and successfully drive projects to completion</li><li>Proven experience leading new facility/equipment installation construction projects providing design and budget oversight </li><li>Knowledge of construction permitting and code compliance requirements from facility/utility and EHS perspectives </li><li>Desire to lead and grow team’s technical and professional capabilities </li><li>Willingness to adapt to new technologies and industry trends </li></ul> Preferred Qualifications <ul><li>Experience managing facility scope project values more than $10M </li><li>Experience managing EHS compliance programs including hazardous waste and recycling, air/storm water permitting, new task and/or equipment safety reviews, PPE adherence, and employee health and welfare </li></ul>  The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $180,000, with actual pay varying based on work location, experience, and skills.
