<h2>Overview</h2><p>Joby Aviation is seeking a passionate and driven intern to join our flight test instrumentation team. This role involves designing, installing, and troubleshooting instrumentation hardware in Joby aircraft. A can-do attitude is a must for this fast-paced environment in which every team member relies on each other to perform to their highest potential. Previous experience with flight test activities is desirable.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. </li> <li>Help develop manuals and supporting documentation necessary to operate flight test instrumentation systems. </li> <li>Complete required documentation in accordance with established company and FAA procedures. </li> <li>Install and troubleshoot instrumentation systems on aircraft and in the ground control station. </li></ul><h2>Required</h2><ul> <li>Pursuing or has completed a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent. </li> <li>Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with day-to-day applications used for email, word processing, etc. </li> <li>Data analysis experience using LabVIEW, Matlab, Python, or similar tools. </li> <li>Mechanical design or manufacturing experience. </li> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with colleagues across a wide range of technical disciplines. </li> <li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, work extended hours, and travel as required. </li> <li>Proficiency in reading and speaking English.</li></ul><h2>Desired</h2><ul> <li>Previous experimental flight test experience, preferably related to eVTOL or UAS. </li> <li>Hands-on experience in motor sports and/or electric vehicles (e.g., AIAA Design, Build, Fly; Formula SAE). </li> <li>Heading into junior or senior year of an undergraduate degree or above by the start of the internship. </li> <li>Experience with CATIA tool.</li></ul><p></p><p>The pay range for undergraduate interns, including freshman to senior-level students, is $ 22.00 - $31.00/hour. The pay range for graduate interns with a Bachelor, Master, and/or Ph.D. degree is $5,550 - $7,800/ month.</p><p> </p><p>Relocation Assistance: This position does not offer relocation assistance.
