This role supports commissioning and startup activities and ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of mechanical equipment and plant infrastructure. The Manager II oversees daily mechanical operations in alignment with established processes, directs and develops maintenance personnel, and contributes to meeting monthly performance and cost targets. This leader applies strong technical expertise, drives preventative and predictive maintenance programs, and collaborates across functions to resolve issues and support consistent plant performance. Responsibilities include:<ul><li>Lead and manage the local mechanical maintenance team, including technicians and contractors, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement</li><li>Develop, implement, and maintain preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all plant equipment and systems</li><li>Monitor plant performance and equipment reliability, analyzing maintenance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement</li><li>Collaborate with Corporate Maintenance, Operations and Engineering teams to plan and execute maintenance projects, shutdowns, and upgrades</li><li>Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards </li><li>Manage maintenance budgets, including labor, materials, and contractor costs, optimizing resource allocation </li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including implementation of digital tools for maintenance tracking &amp; reporting, and RCFA methodologies</li><li>Provide hands-on coaching and develop maintenance personnel, ensuring the team has the skills and training to meet operational needs</li></ul>What we need you to bring to the team:    <ul><li>3+ years of progressive maintenance experience in heavy industry, metals, or mineral processing environment</li><li>1+ year of supervisory experience with direct responsibility for performance management and team leadership</li><li>Strong working knowledge of industrial equipment, mechanical systems, and control systems</li><li>Hands-on experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs, CMMS platforms, and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) methodologies</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, manage budgets, and execute maintenance initiatives on schedule</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with effective communication skills</li><li>A clear commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement</li><li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused</li></ul> <div><div>What we want you to bring to the team: <ul><li>Mechanical Maintenance certification</li><li>Completion of a formal apprenticeship program</li><li>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university</li><li>5+ years of progressive maintenance experience in heavy industry, metals, or mineral processing</li><li>Prior experience supporting or commissioning a start-up or new facility launch</li></ul>  Must be willing and able to perform safety-sensitive job functions, including but not limited to:  <ul><li>Operating industrial powered vehicles. </li><li>Operating material handling cranes and hoists. </li><li>Operating aerial work platforms. </li><li>Working at heights, including use of all required personal fall arrest equipment. </li><li>Execution Hazardous Energy Isolation procedures </li><li>Perform work inside of confined spaces </li><li>Perform work while wearing a respirator </li></ul>Must be willing and able to submit to medical evaluations and be deemed by a healthcare professional to perform safety sensitive job functions. Employment is contingent upon (1) acceptable medical evaluation confirming ability to perform safety-sensitive job functions; and (2) pre-employment post-offer drug screen.    Compensation:   <ul><li>The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $110,000-$135,000 and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.  </li></ul>Benefits For You:  <ul><li>100% paid premiums across all medical, dental, vision, telemedicine, short-term disability, long-term disability, and basic life insurance plans </li><li>$1,800 in annual employer HSA contributions (health savings account) </li></ul>Benefits For Your Family:  <ul><li>100% paid premiums across all medical, dental, vision, and telemedicine plans </li><li>12 weeks of paid parental leave </li></ul>Benefits For Your Future:  <ul><li>401k with up to 5% matching contributions which vest 100% on day one  </li><li>Eligibility for incentive stock options </li></ul>If you need an accommodation during the application or interview process, reach out to us at <a href="mailto:careers@electra.earth">careers@electra.earth</a> We’re here to help.</div></div>
