AECOM Edmonton is hiring a Commercial Manager to join our Alternative Delivery Group.This position is responsible for supporting the commercial success of infrastructure projects delivered through alternative procurement models such as P3s, progressive design-build, and construction management at risk. The successful candidate will bring proven expertise in project controls, commercial strategy, and contract management to ensure financial performance, risk mitigation, and successful delivery outcomes.This is a newly created role.Key ResponsibilitiesInclude, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Develops and supports commercial strategies for infrastructure programs, aligning with project delivery models and client objectives.</li><li>Assists in negotiations with clients, partners, and subcontractors in coordination with project leadership.</li><li>Oversees project controls functions across small to medium-scale projects, including cost, schedule, change, and risk management.</li><li>Reviews construction contracts and advises on commercial implications, risk exposures, and compliance.</li><li>Prepares and manages project budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics, including monthly project performance reports.</li><li>Conducts variance analysis to support corrective action planning and continuous improvement.</li><li>Drafts, reviews, and maintains project procedures and commercial documentation.</li><li>Manages contractor invoice reviews and approvals, ensuring alignment with scope, progress, and funding authorizations.</li><li>Ensures accurate preparation of project schedules, with knowledge of critical path method (CPM) and resource loading.</li><li>Collaborates with internal stakeholders across finance, legal, procurement, and technical disciplines to support project governance.</li><li>Validates change order processes, ensuring traceability of scope changes and commercial impacts.</li><li>Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to foster collaboration.</li><li>Supports talent development by mentoring junior staff and contributing to team growth.</li><li>Participates in commercial risk assessments and ensures contractual risks are managed appropriately throughout the project lifecycle.</li><li>Contributes to project pursuits, RFQ/RFP responses, and bid preparations for alternative delivery projects.</li></ul> <ul></ul>
