This role will be a key member of the site Operations team and report into the Production Manager. Working within a team of highly skilled and experienced Technicians and Engineers, the Assembly &amp; Test Operator will spend their time carrying out a range of electronic and mechanical assembly tasks in addition to production related automated testing.  The ability to closely follow written assembly instructions, possess manual dexterity and have good attention to detail are of the upmost importance in this role to ensure the high quality of our safety critical products.Other duties and responsibilities of the role will include:<ul><li>Electro-mechanical assembly (PCBs and cables into mechanical housings using various fixings, coatings and encapsulation equipment).</li><li>Automated testing (using computer assisted test equipment).</li><li>Operation of various processing equipment.</li><li>Recording the completion of operations using computer software.</li><li>Reporting of deviations and non-conformances relating to the assembly and test of product.</li><li>Ability to work shifts.</li></ul>We would really like to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following skills and experience:<ul><li>Experience of carrying out close tolerance work.</li><li>Basic computer user skills.</li><li>Ability to follow assembly and test instructions.</li><li>Be flexible and hardworking to help support the needs of the business.</li></ul>Full training on use of specific equipment will be given but experience in the assembly and test of electronic assemblies in a similar environment would be beneficial.
