Working Trees is an agroforestry carbon project developer whose mission is to grow trees where the interest of farmers and the climate overlap. In practice, we pay farmers via carbon revenue, to plant and grow trees on their land.
Core to our mission is democratizing farmer access to carbon markets, which we have achieved through our mobile app farmers can use to track and verify carbon sequestered in their tree plantings. This rip the costs out of the carbon verification process in our carbon projects, enabling farmers to enroll planting projects of any acreage into our carbon program.&nbsp;&nbsp;
We have launched the first agroforestry carbon project in the US in Tennessee and Arkansas, and have 150,000 acres of land in our pipeline we are actively converting into carbon projects.
More action at greater scale is needed to address the climate crisis, so our goal is to deploy 1,000,000 acres of agroforestry projects annually by 2030. Let us know if you want to help us get there.
