Roles &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Prospecting and researching target areas</li><li>Negotiating and securing site control and managing landowner relationships</li><li>Securing discretionary and understanding ministerial permitting</li><li>Negotiating and securing tax abatements</li><li>Identifying and resolving title issues</li><li>Coordinating with Business Development in understanding the business case and securing project-level revenue</li><li>Monitoring and participating in regulatory and legislative policy initiatives</li><li>Leading interdisciplinary project teams by working independently and with outside parties such as permit officers, fire departments, SMEs, vendors, contractors, etc.</li><li>Working with project teams to determine appropriate project schedule and forecast costs to support project activities</li><li>Coordinating with other departments regarding late-stage development activities and project handoff to EPC and/or Asset Management teams</li></ul><ul><li>Supporting continuous improvement initiatives for the project development team to maintain and iterate upon existing tools and processes</li><li>Support key project financial decisions around project funding as well as M&amp;A opportunities</li></ul><ul><li>Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned </li></ul> Skills:<ul><li>Proficiency with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.)</li><li>Ability to communicate across a broad spectrum of technical understanding - written, verbal, and non-verbal</li><li>Public speaking</li><li>Development risk identification and assessment</li><li>Proficiency with project management software, customer relationship management software, and GIS preferred</li><li>Must be able to walk unassisted over uneven ground and stand for prolonged periods of time</li><li>Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive to off-site locations as needed</li></ul> Characteristics of an ideal candidate:<ul><li>Passion for energy development and the environment</li><li>Creative problem-solving ability and solutions-oriented mindset</li><li>Self-starter with a desire to succeed and a focus on creating value</li><li>Team player and leader with a proactive attitude and collaborative disposition</li><li>Organized, attention to detail</li><li>Comfortable with a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment</li><li>Ability to make informed decisions quickly and a bias for action</li><li>Strong sense of integrity and accountability</li></ul> Education &amp; Experience:<ul><li>4-year university degree, BS or BA</li><li>1-2 years of experience preferred; exceptional entry level candidates will be considered</li></ul> Travel &amp; Time Commitment:<ul><li>Approximately 30% of time will be on the road; will vary based on status of projects</li><li>Travel includes independent site visits and landowner meetings</li><li>This is a full-time, exempt salaried position.
