The primary objective of this position is to spearhead the enhancement and administration of our Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring robust support for our two production facilities. Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, the Quality Manager plays a pivotal hands-on leadership role. This role is crucial in driving quality improvements, maintaining compliance, and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.Your key responsibilities will be to:<ul><li>Manage the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring full adherence across our sites.</li><li>Manage customer compliance requirements to Food Safety Standards, handle all internal and external quality-related audits, and oversee Non-Conformance quality activities.</li><li>Drive adherence to the QMS at the operator level and ensure compliance with ISO and HACCP systems.</li><li>Utilise Quality Management Tools to support, monitor, and manage quality performance and documentation through the Document Management System (DMS).</li><li>Contribute and collaborate as a member of the Pact Steel leadership team, managing technical and quality engagement with vendors, and handling product technical drawings and artwork changes.</li><li>Develop and implement risk-based assessments for quality-related risks, driving actions and risk mitigation.</li></ul>To be successful in this role, you’ll have:<ul><li>Relevant Diploma or Degree in a related field.</li><li>5+ years of experience in manufacturing and food-based quality management.</li><li>Expertise in packaging, particularly in steel and food packaging.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of food safety compliance, including ISO system management.</li><li>Proven ability to manage external audit processes and non-conformance QA response systems.</li><li>Experience with quality stock management and change management systems, including validating new suppliers or changes to existing supplier products.</li><li>Positive attitude and strong team player.</li><li>AP Certification is an advantage but not essential.</li></ul>
