<p>This position will encompass the following responsibilities.  This is not considered to be an all-encompassing list of responsibilities, and additional duties may be assigned as needed to support the business.</p><ul><li>Inspect all inbound scrap via tractor trailer and direct trucks where to dump load.</li><li>As requested, assist in inspecting inbound scrap via railroad car. </li><li>Spot check suspected radioactive cars or truck loads with handheld Geiger counter</li><li>Spot check suspected off chemistry scrap with handheld Niton XRF machine.</li><li>As requested, assist in tracking or isolating suspected scrap for off chemistry heats at the furnace.</li><li>Notify material handler operators when loads are clear to add to existing stockpile</li><li>Advise Production Supervisor or scrap yard operators when scrap has been cleared and they begin shearing/cutting/processing.</li><li>Provide data needed to complete daily reports to the Clerk on the scrap yard side.</li><li>Assist Production Supervisor in providing guidance to the general hourly workforce as needed.</li></ul>
