<div>Diamond Foundry is seeking a Director of Purchasing &amp; Supply Chain to lead strategic sourcing and supplier network development across the Eurozone. This role will drive the setup and scaling of mechanical commodity procurement operations in a high-growth manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings deep technical sourcing expertise in machining and precision manufacturing, strong leadership experience, and a proven track record of building supplier networks and scalable procurement processes from prototype through mass production.</div><div><br></div><div>This role requires 30% of travel </div><br><br><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li><b>Operations &amp; Supplier Set-up:</b> Lead the end-to-end "Greenfield" setup of our supplier network. This includes identifying, auditing, and onboarding high-precision partners (CNC, casting, molding) and establishing the operational workflows required to move from prototype to mass production.</li><li><b>Commodity Strategy:</b> Develop and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy for mechanical and machining commodities, ensuring long-term scalability across the Eurozone.</li><li><b>Startup Agility:</b> Build supply chain processes from the ground up, moving from manual "firefighting" to scalable, automated systems without losing the speed required for rapid prototyping.</li><li><b>Global Supplier experience</b> - Candidate must have deep experience in WW sourcing operations, working with suppliers in euro zone and Asia strongly preferred</li><li><b>Contract Negotiation:</b> Lead high-stakes negotiations for multi-million Euro frameworks, focusing on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), lead-time reduction, and payment terms. </li><li><b>Team Leadership:</b> Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing supply chain team. You will be responsible for defining roles, setting KPIs, and fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li><b>Educational Background:</b> A University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field is <b>mandatory</b>.</li><li><b>Experience:</b> Minimum <b>7</b>- <b>10 years</b> of progressive experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management, specifically within manufacturing or industrial sectors.</li><li><b>Management:</b> Proven experience in <b>people management</b> is required. You must have a track record of leading teams through organizational growth or change.</li><li><b>Commodity Expertise:</b> Deep technical understanding of machining processes, material sciences, and European manufacturing standards.</li><li><b>Language:</b> Full professional fluency in <b>English</b> is required.</li></ul><br>
