Job purposeBorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Assy Process Engineer to Provide technical support in quality and manufacturing engineering for production areas and product launch activities that meet or exceed customer expectations. Responsible for implementing appropriate actions to maintain and improve manufacturing processes in accordance with safety, quality, productivity, cost, and environmental care requirements.Key responsibilities<ul><li>Identify and implement improvements with manufacturing teams to reduce product cost, enhance quality, and maximize customer satisfaction.</li><li>Ensure maximum safety, quality, capacity, and utilization of manufacturing/processing equipment and special processes within the assigned area.</li><li>Continuously research and implement “Best Practice” manufacturing and processing methods.</li><li>Responsible for the introduction of new products and modifications to existing ones. Communicate with purchasing and suppliers to define product specifications, organize equipment/material/part purchases, and evaluate products against specifications and quality standards.</li><li>Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow; design equipment layouts and workspace to achieve maximum efficiency.</li><li>Participate in product design reviews and contribute manufacturing-oriented ideas and lessons learned.</li><li>Ensure effective quality control and process systems are developed, implemented, and maintained.</li><li>Determine, justify, and coordinate the purchase and implementation of new equipment and processes in collaboration with manufacturing teams; track tooling and Approval Request (AR) expenditures.</li><li>Assist in the design and construction of manufacturing/assembly/processing equipment and processes.</li><li>Solve problems using robust methodologies such as 8D, PDCA, A3, Ishikawa, and 5 Whys, including statistical problem-solving techniques.</li><li>Support diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, calibrations, and operational procedures as needed.</li><li>Coordinate and conduct special studies, Design of Experiments (DOE), and analysis.</li><li>Represent BorgWarner in related matters.</li><li>Prepare and deliver presentations to customers, employees, and all levels of management.</li><li>Coordinate and manage external contractor projects.</li><li>Implement action plans for quality issues and warranty reduction projects.</li><li>Participate in the development of APQP documentation according to AIAG standards. Develop and maintain updated process documentation (FMEA, flow diagrams, process sheets, tooling lists, drawings, instructions, LOTO, etc.).</li><li>Implement action plans from Statistical Process Control workshops and Kaizen events.</li><li>Close actions from the Improvement Ideas System.</li><li>Ensure implementation of FMEA actions.</li><li>Use a team-based approach to achieve objectives (CPK, OEE, FTP, quality incidents, etc.), with special emphasis on production teams.</li><li>Provide technical leadership, training, and support to manufacturing teams and peers.</li><li>Collaborate with and support Technical Centers in developing new technologies and products.</li><li>Participate in prototype development and assembly with the Engineering department, including prototype control plans and work instructions.</li><li>Coordinate with machinery subcontractors to ensure personnel safety during industrialization and initial sample production.</li><li>Responsible for applicable processes.</li><li>Comply with the responsibility matrix, job-specific training, and access to Ford portals (MRF-RH-01 format).</li><li>Work jointly with IT to ensure cybersecurity protocols and antivirus strategies.</li><li>Ensure compliance with capital project (CAPEX) and expense budgets</li></ul>What we’re looking forEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Schooling: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing preferred)</li><li>Experience Time in similar position: 3–5 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry or global manufacturing companies.</li><li>Technical knowledge required: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems. Program management experience. Proficient in applying lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
